Dia no Ace: Act II ist die nunmehr dritte Staffel der Anime-Adaption zu Yuuji Terajimas gleichnamigem Manga und setzt im nächsten Schuljahr direkt an das Ende des Herbstturniers an. Nachdem das Team rund um Furuya einen entschiedenen Sieg einfahren konnte und Sawamura seinem Rivalen noch die »Warnung« mit auf den Weg gab, dass er ihn irgendwann übertreffen werde, trennen sich die Wege der Spieler zunächst. Nicht jedoch, ohne dass die Emotionen in Raichis Team noch einmal überkochen, denn ihre Liebe zum Baseball berührt selbst die härtesten Kerle und während Raichi, Mishima und Kataoka diese neu begründeten, musste Miyuki in Begleitung von Zono, Kuramochi und Rei aufgrund seiner Verletzung ins Krankenhaus eingeliefert werden.
