Shugo Chara!

Jeder an Seiyo Elementary denkt, dass Amu Hinamori das coolste Mädchen in der Klasse ist. Aber so ist sie nicht. Amu ist in Wirklichkeit ein sehr schüchternes Mädchen, das Mut haben möchte, aufrichtig zu sein.
Eines Morgens findet sie drei mysteriöse kleine Eier in ihrem Bett. Jedes Ei enthält einen "Wächter-Charakter". Diese Wächter sind Engeln ähnelnde Wesen, die einem Menschen eine bestimmte Macht geben können, ihre geistigen Anlagen zu ändern. Mit der Hilfe dieser Wächter-Charaktere entdeckt Amu, dass ihr wahres Ich noch erstaunlicher ist, als sie es jemals erträumte.

Utau hat nun endlich die grausame Easter Company verlassen und beginnt eine Karriere als Sängerin, während Ikuto immer noch in der Easter Company bleiben muss. Als Ersatz für Utau wird kurzerhand Lulu angeheuert, welche anstatt der X-Eier nur ?-Eier erschaffen kann.
Amu und Tadase sind mittlerweile im Begriff ein Paar zu sein, jedoch belügt sie ihn nach Strich und Faden, um nicht ihr Geheimnis preisgeben zu müssen, dass sie Shugo Charas hat und Ikuto in ihrem Zimmer versteckt hält.
Die Easter Company hat außerdem einen neuen Plan entwickelt, um Ikuto kontrollieren zu können. Sie benutzen dazu seine Geige, die ihn zum sogenannten "Death Rebel" werden lässt und alle Eier in X-Eier verwandelt.
Wenn jedoch zuviele X-Eier aufeinander geraten, könnte das Embryo erscheinen, welches geheime Kräfte besitzt, die die Easter Company für ihre bösen Absichten benutzen will...
